Historique :	'Le Saint Jean Baptiste d'Huchenneville, portant, comme celui d'Amiens, un petit mouton dressé, doit être rapproché de cette série de la tour Nord [Prophètes ? de la cathédrale d'Amiens], dont il reprend le canon court, l'agencement et le style du drapé, et jusqu'à la disposition des mèches de la chevelure sur le front et les tempes. De telles similitudes autorisent une datation assez précise, une attribution hypothétique au même atelier amiénois et une appartenance au courant stylistique du Beau Pilier. Le matériau utilisé laisse supposer une commande relativement importante mais on ignore tout de l'histoire de l'oeuvre, qui dut être assez troublée si l'on en juge par sa dégradation.' (F. Baron)
