Ancien capi(itai)ne de gendarmerie Mestre de Camp de Cav(aler)ie Ch(evali)er de l'Ordre Royal et Miliaire de St Louis. Décédé 11 février 1791 en la 73e année de son âge. Charitable envers les Pauvres, il a laissé à la postérité une preuve de sa Piété, en érigeant ce temple, et le Décorant, de tous les ornemens nécessaires à la Magesté du Culte MOERENS POSUIT FILIUS EJUS. ET Claude Louis Gabriel de BERY MARQUIS D'ESSERTAUX son fils. Après avoir marché sur les traces de son père, il s'est mis par caractère au-dessus des malheurs du siècle ; ses enfants dont il fut tendrement aimé ont ici déposé le témoignage de leurs sincères regrets. Il est décédé le 9 avriel 1822 dans la 74e année de son âge. REQUIESCANT IN PACE.
